Everybody Leadership Development Workshop

“Because 2026 is a year we need everyone.”

As we step into 2026, we sense God inviting our church to grow stronger and deeper together — discovering our giftedness, strengthening our character, and offering our gifts for the glory of God and the good of His Kingdom.

These workshops are designed for anyone who desires to grow in faith, leadership, and practical ministry skills — we hope that is everyone who calls LBC home.

Whether you are already serving and want to sharpen the gifts God has given you… whether you’re unsure where you fit and are longing for clarity… or whether you feel tired and need a fresh sense of renewal… there is a place for you.

We invite you to prayerfully consider joining us for four important workshops that will help deepen our spiritual life, strengthen our understanding, and equip us to serve with confidence and joy.

Workshops are Saturday mornings from 9:30am-12pm. Dates are listed with each workshop.

Workshop 1: Spiritual Formation - January 24, 2026 with Dr. Cheryl Ann Beals

Do you long for God to speak to you? Have you ever thought, “God doesn’t speak to me the way he does to others?” If so come and hear how developing relationship with the Lord changes and enhances your leadership in ways you never thought possible. Learn how to recognize and navigate spiritual deserts while growing deeper in faith.

Workshop 2: Theological Education - February 28, 2026 with Dr. David Michels

Perhaps you may think you really are not interested in theological training but be assured, as Leaders in the process of teaching others the Lord holds us accountable for what we teach and our faithfulness in doing so. To lead effectively with a strong biblical foundation.

Dr. David will acquaint you with such things as:

• Bible literacy for leaders

• Biblical foundations of the Christian faith

• Interpreting Scripture faithfully

• Engaging culture with sound theology

Workshop 3: Leadership Ministry Skills - March 28, 2026 with Dr. Phyllis Nesbitt

• Communicating the Gospel effectively: leading with storytelling and gospel clarity

• Shepherding through counseling and care

• Time management tools

• Conflict resolution in the body of Christ

Workshop 4: Servant Leadership Principles - April 25, 2026 with Dr. Frank Guinta Jr.

• Leading Like Jesus: Imitating Christ’s humility and servant-hearted leadership.

• Empathy and Active Listening: Understanding people; offering Christlike compassion.

• Mutual accountability in leadership and discipleship.

• Discipleship planning, mentoring roleplay, leadership multiplication.
