Open
Being open to God is a way of living life.
Lent is a season of focusing on our relationship with God as we prepare for Easter. It is a time to be aware of God, to listen and prepare for resurrection life.
Jesus came to open the way to the Father for us. Lent is a season for discovering new openness to God. No matter where we are on the continuum of openness to God, we can become more open to His presence and power, working in us and through us. The 40 days of Lent invite us to a season of reorientation. Turning a way from distractions to follow Jesus’ example of openness to the Father.
Over the next 40 days and 7 Sundays, we will focus on times of reflection, listening, prayer, preparation, spiritual practices, time with God and service to others.
