Hello HRUBA Pastors and Lay Persons,

The Halifax Region United Baptist Association (HRUBA) is planning a "Pre-Advent Christmas Dessert Event" for Saturday, November 26, 2022, from 1:00 to 4:00 pm at Life Branch Church in Dartmouth. This will be the first "open" face-to-face event for HRUBA in some time and we are looking forward to a time of fellowship and sharing together.

We think that we can manage an "in-person" gathering and would like to invite you and representatives from your congregation to join us.

As part of the program, we will be showcasing some of the exciting things in which HRUBA and HRUBA Local Churches are involved. The attached poster will give you an idea of what we have in mind. Besides lots of singing, a devotional time and a break for a slice of cheesecake and a cookie, we have included updates on several HRUBA and local church events and ministries:

• Report from the June 18th HRUBA Workshop, "Re-Engaging Togetherness"

• Halifax Hospital Chaplaincy Ministry--Meet the New Baptist Hospital Chaplain;

• Bayside Camp and Retreat Centre; and

• Timberlea Baptist Church Refugee Sponsorship Program.
